Former Police Chief and Firefighter charged with sexual assault

A former police chief and firefighter is now facing charges of sexual assault and sexual abuse. This was reported by Fox59 News.

BREAKING: Thomas Ray Peal, who is a former police chief and firefighter, is facing charges of sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Thomas Ray Peal is a former Police Chief at Mount Hope Police Department as well as a firefighter at the Beckley Fire Department. He was indicted on July 16 by a grand jury.

Court documents indicate that Peal had sexual intercourse with a teenager. He was charge with sexual abuse and sexual assault.

This was not Peal’s first arrest. In May of 2015, Peal was arrested for driving under the influence. This was after his stint as the Mount Hope police chief.
