On Sunday morning President Trump tweeted about West Virginia’s economic success.
“The Great State of West Virginia is producing record setting numbers and doing really well,” President Trump tweeted. “When I became President, it was practically shut down and closed for business. Not anymore!”

Governor Jim Justice Campaign Manager Mike Lukach said that economic boom in the West Virginia economy is a result of the leadership of President Trump and Governor Justice.
“In the first quarter of this year West Virginia led the country in personal income growth, the state’s coal industry has rebounded, and unemployment has continued to drop,” Lukach said, per WDTV. “And on top of that under Governor Justice’s leadership West Virginia is making historic investments in its roads and schools.”
According to a report from Justice’s office, Fiscal Year 2019 saw the greatest single-year revenue growth in the state’s history with $511 million in revenue growth.
On Wednesday President Trump is set to make his second visit to Wheeling in the last 10 months. Since the launch of his political career, Trump has shown an affinity to Wheeling.
The fundraiser will be hosted by Robert E. Murray, the president and CEO of Murray energy. It will be a fundraiser for the Trump 2020 re-election campaign.
Also just last week First Lady Melania Trump was in West Virginia to address the opioid epidemic.
Despite President Trump having a stranglehold on West Virginia for the 2020 election, he is still doing his part to make his presence felt in the Mountain State.
